From the producer

Buzzard’s Roost Barrel Strength Rye is a bold, unapologetic take on our beloved Small Batch Rye—bottled at full barrel proof to deliver an amplified version of the complex flavors that define the original. Crafted using a blend of various proprietary barrels, this high-proof expression elevates every nuance, offering a rich and intensified experience that commands attention. While it shines in cocktails or batched drinks, we strongly recommend savoring it neat to fully appreciate its layered complexity.

On the nose, Barrel Strength Rye greets you with fragrant honeysuckle, rich caramel, and deep dark fruit, all tied together with a subtle whisper of fresh oak that adds cohesion and depth. The palate is robust and full-bodied, bursting with warm allspice, nutmeg, and an array of classic baking spices. Each sip delivers a textured experience, marrying heat and flavor in perfect harmony. The finish is long and memorable, dominated by decadent notes of fudge, bright fruit, and a smooth tobacco undertone.

Like all Buzzard’s Roost releases, this rye is aged in barrels custom-made with our cooperage partner, each one contributing its own distinct personality—used like spices to craft a dynamic and evolving whiskey portfolio. Though the flavors may change from batch to batch, one thing remains constant: our commitment to bold innovation and uncompromising taste.
