About this bottle

Hard Truth 7 Year Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a whiskey from Hard Truth. Aged 7 years. Bottled at 112.3 proof (56.15% ABV) in a 750ml bottle.

From the producer

Hard Truth Distilling Co.'s first-ever 7-year Straight Bourbon is a limited, grain-to-glass release crafted in Nashville, Indiana using the distillery's signature sweet mash process. Distilled in 2019 and bottled in 2026 from a very small batch of just 25 barrels, this bourbon spent seven full Indiana winters and summers in the rickhouse, developing the depth and structure that only extended aging can deliver.

Pour reveals a tawny color with rich legs. The nose opens with buttered toffee, vanilla, and ripe cherry, accented by hints of mocha and a whisper of rye spice. On the palate, dark cherry and honey lead the way, followed by layers of toffee and vanilla custard. The finish is long and warming, with candied pecan, oak, clove, and a confident kick of rye spice on the way out.
