About this bottle

Hard Truth 7 Year Wheated Bourbon Whiskey is a whiskey from Hard Truth. Aged 7 years. Bottled at 116.1 proof (58.05% ABV) in a 750ml bottle.

From the producer

Hard Truth's 7-year Wheated Bourbon swaps rye for wheat in the mash bill, delivering a softer, rounder profile that seven years of barrel time has rewarded with remarkable depth. Crafted entirely at the distillery's Indiana campus using their signature grain-to-glass sweet mash process, this is a wheated bourbon built on patience — full-bodied yet approachable, with a velvety mouthfeel and a finish that lingers without losing its edge.

The color pours a striking burnt amber. The nose is decadent: nougat, dark chocolate, toasted almond, and warm vanilla. On the palate, expect warm pecan pie laced with milk chocolate, fading into sweet cream and a touch of clove. The finish stretches long and soothing with candied fruit balanced by a turn of cracked black pepper — a reminder this is a wheater with backbone, not just sweetness.
